Information about Class Dojo
ClassDojo is an educational app and website that is used by schools in 180 countries across the world.
It allows us to connect our teachers, students and families through a range of features and enables parents to contact their child's teacher directly throughout the online-learning experience.
It also enables our teachers to provide individualised feedback on students' learning and creates a portfolio for students, in which all of there learning is stored.
Our aim is to provide quality, engaging teaching and creative, inspiring activities for children and families to enjoy online. We want to ensure that every child feels connected, that the school community is together and that everyone remains happy and safe.
How does it work?

Children are in a virtual classroom that can also be accessed by teachers and parents.

Each day, activities are added to the 'to-do list' section of the app.
These activities are accompanied by an explanation or a link to a YouTube lesson that our teachers have prepared.
Teachers post additional videos, resources or creative ideas for children to do at home.

When children have completed a task, they upload it to their portfolio for their teacher to see. This might be a photo, a video, a drawing or some text.

Teachers respond to the tasks that children have submitted. This could be done via an individualised video message, or a comment on the portfolio.
This allows us to stay connected with children, to encourage them and to provide constructive feedback.

ClassDojo also has a private message function which allows parents to communicate with teachers directly during the period of online teaching.
